In Reading Class, we made an interview about our books with a partner. My partner was Daisy. She is always positive and she asked some super thorough questions. I reflected and was very proud of myself. I believe that my questions were very thick that Daisy had to think before she answered. My thorough questions helped her with her answers. Daisy also did a very great job. She was able to make me think before I answer. We also did a great job of communicating. We were able to show each other what we meant by the expressions on our faces. We spoke clearly enough that Ms. Hannah was very proud of us. Wow, I couldn't believe how well we did.
Nevertheless, I also need to improve on my answers. I was able to give some thorough answers but my pronunciation was not easy to understand. I will try to revise some possible answers so I can easily answer her questions. I will also try to get ready before the interview so I can show her what I'd record in my notebook.
You can listen to our interview in the video below.
Here is another video of me practicing to read with fluency.
About Fluency:
Read with expression, accuracy,
and an appropriate rate for the audience to understand.Reading with fluency will help us to improve our reading.
About my Fluency Recording:
- Book: Circle of Gold
- Author: Candy Dawson Boyd
- Goals: Read with Rate, Accuracy, Expression
Reflection:
I reflected on my fluency recording based on how I expressed the text from the book to the audience.
Positive Skills:
- I told my audience what the book is about and who wrote the book
- I gave a small thought about the book I am reading
- I was able to understand myself while reading
- In my opinion, I read with an appropriate rate.
- Not everyone will agree with me, but I believe I read with expression.
- I was being an advocate for myself my choosing the " best" place for me to concentrate.
Skills that need improvements:
- Nevertheless, I was not too accurate. I made some mistakes during the recording.
- I would also like to thank the audience for watching my video.
Thanks for watching and reading all my progress.
