What is an inequality? An inequality is an imbalance of anything that affects people negatively. There are so many inequalities that our only goal is to stop them all and the first step to success is by learning and informing people about inequalities.
To create a better learning experience for all students in fifth grade, we will be playing Minecraft EDU in 4 different worlds, named as 4 different countries, 3 different social classes, and 2 different genders. This experience will educate us more on the impact or importance of inequality in our daily lives.

Depending on Furnaces
After observing a survey taken by all fifth graders, it seemed like almost ⅕ of citizens around the world have no liking for the rule about furnaces, ranking the highest with another law. Furnaces can’t be bought or built in any condition and it applies for all countries around the world except Finland: a country located between Sweden and Russia with lots of snow. The idea seemed to come from the cost of affording one. As mentioned in the survey, citizens are worried about the cost of airplane tickets and furnaces. It’s not fair when we aren’t allow to build what are capable of. Buying a furnace isn’t that expensive but the fact that we have to fly back and forth, just for a tool really frustrates citizens. Interestingly, a citizen said:
“ Life is unfair, even in Minecraft EDU.”
On the other hand, some people believe that we don’t have to depend on furnaces. Everyone knows that furnaces plays an important role in our lives and it’s not as easy to live without one. Nevertheless, when it’s turn to adapt yourself for something that benefits you, why don’t we do it? We shouldn’t rely on a tool that we know have many other alternatives to.
The Rights of Woman
Gender inequality is an action of mistreating different genders without a true reason. As we all know, there are gender inequalities globally and it keeps growing if there’s no change in our thoughts and actions. Specifically, Saudi Arabia is an undeveloped country that misunderstands the value of women. This conflict ranked the highest with 7 votes from Saudi Arabia, equivalent to 77% citizens in that nation. Evidently, Hillary Clinton, a powerful woman of the United States is running for President of the United States 2016. That would make a big change in people’s lives and she will prove to everyone that woman is talented and special in their own way. Did you know that there is not 1 single picture of a woman on the U.S’s coins and bills? It’s absolutely accurate and there needs to be a change. Women aren’t allowed to walk in the streets by themselves or work outside. There is no reason specifically given to prove that things work the way they do in Saudi Arabia and we all need to cooperate and change this. As we all know, we have no power in our nations and we will only find a solution when the government agrees. To solve this issue, I look forward to more international meetings between all countries.
One of the laws that get the least votes is no neighborhood. It bothers most people when having to live with someone you don’t know and the space isn’t big enough for you. This comes mostly from middle class citizens which indicates that we have some caring citizens around here. As can be seen from the graph, denying the neighborhood got the least amount of votes which tells us that citizens aren’t reacting strongly on this topic and we shouldn’t do anything to this. Otherwise, we can resurvey people to get more accurate answers in order for us to make decisions together.
Lastly, there are some other laws that doesn't fit in any of these columns and I hope to mention them next time when we receive some more important data.
Conclusion:
Laws do affect everyone due to its impact from the government. As we can see, people don’t always agree with laws given out and they protest against it. However, I believe that the government must have planned very carefully before making any choices or decisions for the society since they know that their decisions are important and they consider it as an important responsibility of their career. As a result of that, we shouldn’t be so enthusiastic about this at times because I do believe that the government will make changes when needed to assist all citizens around the world.
