The mother goes to another country to work because it's inextricable for her family to feed themselves. When she travels to Austria, she becomes the sole financial provider of the family and the whole family depend on her for a living. I am very curious about someone spending tons of money just to become an illegal immigrant in another country. I couldn't possibly imagine being an illegal immigrant and having to pay money.
2. Do you think the sacrifice is worth the benefits? Why or why not?
I think that the sacrifice is worth the benefits because it's the only way for them to survive. If the woman is willing to sacrifice herself for the whole family, then it's absolutely the right choice since women are all very courageous and determined. They know what's wrong and right, and I am pretty sure that they believe their decision is the best way to unlock this " awful door '. Her kids get to go to school, they have a house to live in, her husband takes care of the children and domestic duties, what can be better than that in a undeveloped country?
3. Can you relate to this story? How? If not, can you make another connection?
There's something very common in my life that I have seen and heard about before. In Vietnam, since the economic growth is gradually decreasing somehow, many citizens from all over Vietnam are willing to do anything, just to be able to come to another country to have a better life. For example, there are some who crossed to border of Vietnam overseas and as soon as they get what they wanted, they stayed there forever until they could find a way back to Vietnam. They work hard everyday, finding money, to keep a living family. That's so terrible and life is just so awkward. Why isn't the person me but it's them having to live in that life? Why am I born in Vietnam but not Moldova? It's a mystery that we'll never know the answer to:)
