As I have mentioned, I planned to make a report from a non-fiction book. Since I didn't have time to go into the library, I chose to research online and I found a very cool source. My topic is about mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes bite you which gives you an itchy feeling on your skin together with a small red bump. Mosquitoes are actually biting you for your blood, which is its food. As a " child ", the mosquito turns into an adult as quick as 4 days, however some take 4 weeks. A female mosquito can start biting people and animals after only 2 days of becoming an adult. Male mosquitoes live for 2 weeks, however female mosquitoes live for about 1 month or even more, it should have bitten a lot of skin! How many mosquitoes do you think there are in the world? According to Mosquito Magnet, there are just 2500 to 3000 of them around the world. A female mosquito can lay 300 eggs at a time, that would be 300 baby mosquitoes! Mosquitoes' eyes are not very clear so they depend on our breathes to locate us. After all, I hope that you are aware of mosquitoes because it's not very easy to feel when it lands on your skin. Let's protect ourselves from mosquitoes!
Wonder: Do mosquitoes go through puberty?
I shared this information with my grandma and she was pretty amazed about mosquitoes. After hearing my report, she was much more aware of mosquitoes in her room:)
I think that I did very well with my goal because I shared the information with my grandma which informed her more about the harmfulness of mosquitoes. Looking up new words online and using them in my writing piece can enhance the beauty of my piece. I worked very hard to reach my goal because it takes not much but a little time to paraphrase the text and look up new appropriate words to replace. Sharing the knowledge with my grandma is one of the most success I had this week. I felt very proud and awesome about myself because I warned my grandma about mosquitoes. I hope that my report can educate you on mosquitoes and keep you aware of them!
P.S Thanks to Vy for supporting me throughout the week:)
